Why does Najiz matter if you are a foreigner?
Najiz matters because most Saudi court work now runs through it. If you have a claim, a case or a debt in Saudi Arabia, its record is usually there.
Cases and enforcement files are opened and followed on Najiz, and Saudi courts run most hearings electronically. An enforcement file is a file at the Enforcement Court, which enforces judgments and other enforceable documents, such as a cheque.
Powers of attorney made in Saudi Arabia are issued and checked on Najiz, and notices about a case can arrive through it. So it helps to know whether anything is open under your name.
Where will you meet Najiz?
You will meet Najiz whenever a court, an enforcement file or a power of attorney is part of your matter:
Najiz is one of the two places to check.

Can you use Najiz from outside Saudi Arabia?
Usually not on your own. To sign in, Najiz uses Nafath, the Saudi government’s login app. Nafath needs a Saudi digital identity, linked to a Saudi ID or a residence permit (an iqama).
So people abroad usually act through a Saudi lawyer who holds their power of attorney. This is a signed document that lets someone act in your name, and you can usually sign it in your own country. The lawyer then checks, files and follows your matter on Najiz, within the powers it gives.
Frequently asked questions
How do I log in to Najiz?
You sign in to Najiz through Nafath, the national digital login. Nafath needs an ID issued in Saudi Arabia, such as an iqama. Najiz is the Ministry of Justice’s online platform for cases. If you have left Saudi Arabia and cannot sign in, a Saudi lawyer can act for you under a power of attorney.
Is Najiz the same as Absher?
No. Najiz is the Ministry of Justice’s e-platform for cases, enforcement, powers of attorney and notarial services. Absher is the Ministry of Interior’s platform for IDs, visas and some status enquiries. They are run by different ministries, so if you are checking for a travel ban or a case, check both.
How do I check whether there is a case against me on Najiz?
If you live in Saudi Arabia, sign in and look at the cases under your name. Najiz needs a Saudi digital identity, which is linked to an ID issued in Saudi Arabia. If you cannot sign in, a Saudi lawyer can check for you under a power of attorney, even while you are abroad. Keep any case number you see in a message, as it helps the lawyer find the file.
Can someone else sign in to Najiz for me?
No. Your Nafath login is personal, so never share it, or the codes sent to your phone, with anyone. Anyone with your login can act in your name. A Saudi lawyer acts for you within what the power of attorney you have given them allows, not with your login.
