Company records

Our company details set out the firm’s licence and registration. The official Saudi Bar Association services are listed below. For general guidance, see checking a Saudi lawyer’s licence.

These pages provide general information, not advice tailored to your facts or deadlines. Discuss your circumstances with a lawyer before acting. Laws and procedures may change.

When does the firm start acting for you?

The firm acts for you only after you both sign an engagement letter. This is the contract that sets out the work, the fees and who does it. A message, a call or an email does not, on its own, make you a client.

When you first write, we tell you whether we can help, what we need from you and how fees are agreed. That first reply is not advice on your matter. Fees are agreed in writing before any work starts. You pay them directly to the firm, never through this website.

For the full process, see how we work with clients outside Saudi Arabia.

Which countries’ law does the firm advise on?

Saudi law only. The firm is licensed in Saudi Arabia and does not advise on the law of any other country. For a question about the law of your own country, you need a lawyer licensed there.

If you already have lawyers or advisers in another country, the firm can work with them on the Saudi side of a matter. See working with foreign law firms, insurers and advisers.

Which text of a Saudi law counts if a translation differs?

The official Arabic text counts. Any translation or summary, on this website or elsewhere, only helps you understand a law. Where the two differ, the Arabic text prevails.

Saudi laws are published in Arabic in Umm Al-Qura, the Official Gazette. The Ministry of Justice also publishes laws and regulations on its legal portal. Both are linked under Official sources. When a page here summarises a law, it links the official source it relies on.

Can the firm promise you a result?

The firm does not guarantee a court decision or any other outcome. We explain the available steps and agree the work and fees in writing.

Is this a government website or a lawyer directory?

No. This is the website of one law firm, RAED ALI ALJOHANI COMPANY FOR Lawyership and Legal Consultations. It is not a government service. It is not a directory of lawyers, and it does not match you with other lawyers.

Government websites linked from these pages are run by their own authorities, not by the firm. You can read more about the firm.

How up to date is the information on this website?

Each page shows the date it was last updated, near the top. Laws and official practice change, so pages link the official sources they rely on, with the date each one was checked. Check the official source before you act.

Our editorial policy explains how we write and check our pages. What’s changed lists recent changes to Saudi laws and official services.

How can you tell that a message really comes from the firm?
